Winterhalter connectivity

Winterhalter and its sister company Classeq have strengthened their senior executive teams with new appointments that they expect to drive their warewashing equipment businesses in the UK.

Glenn Roberts, the current chair of CESA, is set to join Winterhalter as sales director, bringing with him an abundance of industry experience from his time with companies such as Gram, Brita and Lockhart.

He most recently worked for Nisbets, which he joined at the beginning of the year to lead the group’s Polar Refrigeration business.

Mr Roberts’ arrival comes as current sales director, Andy Salter, prepares to take over as managing director of Classeq.

Stephen Kinkead, managing director of Winterhalter UK, said: “Andy has proved himself an invaluable member of the board of directors in his 19 years at Winterhalter. He’s been hugely influential in increasing the profitability of some of our biggest accounts.”

He added: “Glenn’s reputation in the industry is second to none, under his watch Gram UK grew significantly, and he helped direct them through several buyouts. We’re very pleased to welcome him to Winterhalter, and wish both him and Andy the best of success in their new roles.”
