Its new ‘Managed Expert’ model, in which it seeks to partner with industry-leading managed house operators to benefit from their retailing flair and capability, is certainly capturing industry attention. Since the spring it has tied up with Food & Fuel, Oakman Inns and Marylebone Leisure Group.

The deal with Oakman has seen the pair launch a new venture under the Hunky Dory Pubs brand, with the first site opening in Solihull and more due to follow this year, while the partnership with MLG has led to the creation of the Marmalade Pub Company.
