Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG) will unveil its sixth Slim Chickens site in Bristol later this month.
Bringing an authentic taste of Arkansas and the renowned Southern US hospitality to the south west of England, the American fast-casual concept, which specialises in premium, cooked to order chicken, is set to open its sixth UK site at the Cabot Circus shopping centre.
This latest opening comes just two years after the brand’s successful UK launch in London’s James Street.
Since then, demand has been such that two further London sites have opened in Brunswick Centre and Soho, and Slim Chickens’ restaurants are also firmly established in Cardiff and Birmingham.
Tom Crowley, CEO at BRG, said: “We are really excited to be opening our new restaurant in Bristol, Cabot Circus. We have had a fantastic response to our brand and our chicken in the locations we have opened so far and we hope to create more “Slimthusiasts” with the amazing people of Bristol with our new restaurant.”
The menu will feature the brand’s most iconic dishes including, hand-breaded, buttermilk marinated chicken tenders.
A selection of 13 house dipping sauces will also be available, from Korean BBQ and garlic and parmesan to blue cheese and mango habanero.
The Bristol opening further underlines BRG’s ambitious growth plans for Slim Chickens with more restaurants planned in key cities across the UK to open in 2020.
Slim Chickens was set up by Tom Gordon and Greg Smart in 2003 after they initially began testing chicken recipes in a garage.
The first site opened in Fayetteville, Arkansas and the business has since grown to more than 80 sites in the US alone.
