Smeg takes starring role in WOKS kitchen renovation project

Smeg Foodservice and WOKS Direct have teamed up to supply kitchen appliances to Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen.

The four-strong restaurant chain across Scotland serves pub food alongside hand crafted beers brewed in an on-site microbrewery.

The most recent restaurant, opened on Ashton Lane on Easter Friday, in Glasgow’s West End bought WOKS Direct in to oversee the fitting and fixtures project.

To keep the restaurant kitchen on Ashton Lane working efficiently, WOKS Direct in Glasgow supplied and fitted a Smeg CWC520D pass-through dishwasher in the main kitchen. WOKS also fitted three Smeg UG505DUK undercounter glasswashers to service the busy bars.

Jim Ballantine of WOKS Direct said: “The Smeg range of dishwashers and glasswashers are our first choice for value, reliability and great results, our customers love them.”

Ben Thomson, assistant bar manager, added: “We find the Smeg glasswashers very simple to operate and clean, and the wash results really are fantastic.”
