Catering equipment manufacturer Sous Vide Tools has strengthened its UK team with the appointment of a leading chef who formerly worked at the Alderley Edge Hotel.
Chris Holland — who was also a contest on the Great British Menu programme — has joined the company as its full-time chef director.
Holland has been working for the firm on a part-time basis over the last three years, during which time he developed and co-wrote the UK’s first sous vide cook book, Sous Vide: art of precision cooking.
His new role will involve offering first-hand advice and training to customers, as well as overseeing product testing, recipe development, training and one-to-one specialist consultancy.
Commenting on the appointment, Alex Shannon, managing director at Sous Vide Tools, said: “We sell an extensive range of high quality sous vide products and provide excellent expert advice, training and technical support but now want to take this to the next level.
“After nearly three years as our part time development chef we made the decision to bring Chris on as a full-time member of our team. We’ll now be able to give even more advice and support to chefs and businesses, and further develop our online advice, recipes and tips as well as offering more consultancy and specialist training.”
