St Austell Brewery pub packs punch with Charvet Airstream kitchen

The Cornish Arms Airstream 2

A pub that is part of the St Austell Brewery chain is now the proud owner of a mobile Charvet kitchen, based on an Airstream towable trailer fitted with a narrow cook suite.

The Cornish Arms is run by award-winning chef John Hooker, who had a slimline Charvet Pro700 fitted into the Airstream by the team at Charvet Technical Services.

It was first used last month at the Rock Oyster Festival in Cornwall and then headed to Paul Ainsworth’s Travelling Feast food and music festival touring Cornwall.

The spec on the slimline Pro 700 commercial cooking range includes gas hobs, double Plancha and fryers and 3kW grill.

At just 700mm deep compared to the 800mm or 900mm depth of traditional suites, the Pro 700 allows operators to pack a heavy duty punch in smaller or narrow kitchens.
