A successful vegetarian restaurant with an open plan kitchen that can feed 70 covers is up for sale at an asking price of £575,000.
Woody’s in Dickinson Quay, Hemel Hempstead, was opened in 2000 by current owner Robert Giambrone but he recently had to close it for personal reasons.
He has now taken the decision to sell the business in order to retire and is looking for a new operator to take the premises on.
Diners can see their food being prepared at the restaurant, while an outside seating area for up to 50 offers views of the marina and canal. As it is surrounded by other licensed businesses and flats, the location benefits from strong footfall.
Mr Giambrone said: “It was a real pleasure running Woody’s for so many years, we were well supported by the local community and had a great deal of repeat business. A new owner would do very well here either continuing as Woody’s or in their own style.”
Christie & Co, which is handling the sale, described it as an ideal opportunity for a new operator to benefit from the goodwill generated by the previous vegetarian concept, but said a newcomer could also reimagine the space to create an entirely new offering to the area.
