Foodservice importer and supplier, Linda Lewis Kitchens, has rolled out a special summer deal for buyers purchasing catering equipment for schools, colleges and universities.
It is offering education customers that snap up an LLKPM20 mixer, which comes complete with stand and mincing attachment, a second optional stainless steel bowl for free. This represents a saving of £257 on the transaction.
The kit is ideal for kitchens with a menu requiring dishes prepared by a mincer, or which serve mayonnaise, creamed potatoes, desserts incorporating cream and even dough-based dishes. The deal runs until August 31.
The 20-litre capacity planetary mixer is a compact piece of equipment that has three attachments – a wire whisk, a dough hook and a flat beater – and is backed by a two-year parts and one-year labour warranty.
The mixer is driven by a powerful 1.1kW motor, which LLK insists distinguishes it from other kit sold into the education market that only offers 550W of power.
Managing director, Linda Lewis, said: “Our planetary mixers can whip through their kitchen duties, producing a wide variety of dishes, and parts of dishes, with speed, reliability and precision. However, we recognise that education budgets are tight and some educaterers buy a mixer without the add-ons that could really maximise the expenditure to which they have committed.
“An extra bowl is a classic example of this. Some kitchens would be too financially stretched to buy it, whilst others may be trying to cope with just one bowl, which needs washing out and cleaning throughout the meal-time service, just because to buy two bowls would have been too big an outlay.”
