Steve Simmonds, national account manager

Synergy Grill Technology has appointed Steve Simmonds as national account manager in what the company says is a new role for the business.

Mr Simmons has 24 years’ experience in the catering distribution industry, including eight years in a business development manager role at Lockhart Catering Equipment, and more recently Nisbets, where he has worked as a national account manager for the past 10 years looking after restaurant groups across the UK.

Having worked for multiple UK distributors in the past, Mr Simmonds said he is excited to be joining the Synergy Grill team at what is a pivotal time for the company.

“Energy consumption and money savings are at the top of everybody’s agenda within the hospitality industry, and with Synergy, the benefits are clear to see without substituting the quality that operators have come to expect. I am eager to get going in my new role as national account manager and start networking with Synergy’s vast portfolio of clients across the country.”

Justin Cadbury, chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, believes that Mr Simmonds’ experience in business and account management will be invaluable as Synergy continues its expansion.

He said: “We are delighted to be expanding the Synergy Grill Technology team by introducing a brand new national account manager role. The role serves to understand our customer’s demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales as a result.

“With a plethora of industry knowledge behind him, we believe that Steve is the perfect candidate to support the relationships with our large chain customers which continue to grow at speed. We welcome Steve to Team Synergy and look forward to him being part of our continued expansion.”

In a further personnel update, meanwhile, Synergy confirmed that Ian Parsons, who recently joined as sales and marketing director, has now left the company to focus more time on his consultancy business.
