TGI Fridays has completed the rebuilding its UK management team and insists it now has a “diverse” group of executives in place to take the chain forward.
Alan Clark is the latest name to join the American-themed restaurant business after being named as its new CFO.
His appointment comes after the group executive team underwent several changes towards the end of 2019 and start of 2020, spearheaded by new CEO Robert Cook.
His arrival followed the departure of long-serving UK chief Karen Forrester.
Prior to joining TGI Fridays UK, Mr Cook was CEO UK and a board member at Virgin Active. He is a well-known figure and veteran of the UK hotel sector and boasts many years of expertise within the consumer leisure industry.
The new exec team also includes Dan Staples, chief marketing officer; Tom Sycamore, chief operating officer; Suzanne Peacock, people & culture director; Alyson Scott, procurement, supply chain and technical director; and Trevor Peach, operations director.
The addition of Clark, combined with the changes made since the end of last year, complete TGI Fridays UK group executive team, the 85-strong chain said.
“We now have in place a diverse team with a strong set of experience within the hospitality industry, paired with a good understanding of TGI Fridays as a brand,” said Mr Cook. “Between us, there is a lot to do but we are looking forward to putting our plans in to action and you can expect exciting things from us in 2020.”
