Thieves steal £300,000 of Nisbets equipment in less than five minutes

A trailer containing £300,000 worth of Nisbets catering equipment has been stolen from the company’s premises in a brazen theft that took less than five minutes to carry out.

Avon and Somerset Police have released CCTV images of a lorry cab they are trying to trace following the incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday 9 November.

Between 12.30pm and 12.34pm, a white Scania lorry cab entered the yard used by Nisbets in Avonmouth and was hitched to the trailer before driving off.

It was packed with a large amount of professional catering equipment including Olympia and Vogue cutlery and kitchen knives.

Operators and the trade are being asked to contact the police if they believe they have been offered any of the stolen items.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said. “We are seeking information that could lead to the location of the stolen trailer and container, as well as anything that can help us identify those involved in the burglary. We would also like to speak with anyone who may have been offered these items for sale.”
