Mexican restaurant chain Tortilla is set to launch a new site in Canterbury city centre next month.
The new opening will take the chain’s UK portfolio to 58 restaurants in total, with the company already operating one site in Kent’s Bluewater shopping centre.
The chain will open the 30-cover restaurant on Canterbury high street next to the Pizza Hut store on 30 November, Kent Online reports.
About 20 new jobs are also expected to be created for the new opening, with staff due to serve the brand’s signature taco and burrito dishes.
Customers can build their own meal with a choice of fillings such as Mexican rice, black beans, grilled seasonal vegetables and fresh mild, medium and hot salsas, including the chain’s fresh, hand-smashed guacamole.
Its choice of protein – served in tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas and on top of nachos queso – includes slow-cooked Barbacoa with grass-fed British Isle brisket, grilled chicken or pulled carnitas pork.
