True Refrigeration sets the pace for energy efficient kitchens

True Refrigeration

Leading refrigeration manufacturer, True Refrigeration, is flying the flag for energy efficient kitchens by supporting FEJ and Catering Insight’s Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week.

The refrigerator specialist will be backing the Operator of the Year – Energy Efficiency & Sustainability for the digital event, which will honour the efforts of operators, distributors and suppliers in this unprecedented year, during a week of video presentations starting from 30 November.

True’s EMEA marketing coordinator, Chris Cope, said: “Over the last couple of years, we’ve really become aware of our responsibility, in terms of manufacturing processes, but also as a supplier of equipment into our client’s businesses.

“Great advances have been made recently in the technology used to produce commercial refrigeration equipment, and True is a company which has invested heavily in developing these advances, today able to offer some of the most sustainable and energy efficient refrigeration products currently available.

“We resonate with this award category because it highlights and showcases operators who also take environmental responsibility seriously. Striving to be better, in terms of reducing waste and having a positive impact on the environment, is a responsibility we all share.”

Mr Cope also welcomed the event’s overall initiative: “In an unprecedentedly challenging year for operators and suppliers, it’s encouraging that FEJ and Catering Insight have found a way to recognise and commend the efforts, determination and sacrifices, of the people who are keeping our industry afloat.

“The hospitality and foodservice industry as a whole continues to be one of the hardest hit by the ongoing Covid-19 situation, and the equipment supply chain has been significantly impacted as a result.

“The livelihoods of a lot of good people have been affected, undeserving victims of the situation. It is quite a small world on the supplier-side of the UK catering equipment trade, and we all know clients and colleagues who have been affected.”

He added: “It has also been heartening to see the industry pull together like never before in support of those who have lost their jobs, and we hope the Kitchen & Equipment Awards will help to further highlight and support the individuals who need it. We are grateful to still be in a position to be able to give something back by supporting the event.”

To ensure that your chosen company is in the running for recognition, you can nominate using the simple online form below. All nominators will remain anonymous, self-nominations are welcome, and the deadline for submission is end of play on Friday 9 October.

  1. We think we might be the only organization globally that really pushes the need for coil cleaning and related servicing for commercial refrigeration to secure energy savings and emissions reduction.
We suggest doing a search on Twitter and Linkedin using the search terms “refrigeration” and “coil cleaning” to dtermine if this is true.
