Combi and baking oven manufacturer Unox has bolstered its UK team with a trio of appointments who will provide further support to customers.
With the manufacturer’s UK business going from strength to strength, the new employees will give Unox additional expertise in sales development, service and logistics.
Mike Carter has taken on the role of active marketing chef for the east southern region, Janet Ayres has joined the in-house service support team and Clive Mason has joined its warehouse team.
Carter has a wealth of experience in the industry having carried out his apprenticeship at the Savoy Group, before joining Baxter & Platts and then carrying out product development roles at both Nestlé and Master Foods.
More recently he has worked on recipe development for Compass Group and spent time with MKN.
“This is such a diverse and fast changing industry which is why I’m delighted to be part of Unox UK who have market leading equipment, supported with great people with great ideas and the most innovative manufacturing base in Italy I’ve seen, which suggests we will stay reassuringly ahead of the game for years to come,” he said.
Carter’s role as active marketing chef will involve supporting distributors and operators in the south, working closely with chefs to carry out product demonstrations, full training and helping with menu recipe development.
Ayres, meanwhile, brings vast experience in service support to the Unox UK team, having worked for a number of years in a similar role at Clearwater. She will be involved in managing after-sales support and ensuring any technical issues are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Mason has joined the warehouse team as a response to the increased sales nationwide of the top of the range Unox Cheftop and Bakertop Mind.Maps combi ovens. He has experience of working in a busy warehouse environment from 10 years spent with Brakes.
Gary Nunn, managing director of Unox UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike, Janet and Clive to the team, each bringing their own expertise, enthusiasm and new and positive ideas to their roles. Unox as a company worldwide is constantly evolving and creating new technologies and products to remain at the very forefront of innovation in the foodservice industry.
“In the UK, our team is growing accordingly as we take on more sales and technical staff to continue to provide the very highest levels of customer service. It is a very exciting time for the company.”
