Unox appoints new corporate chef to help operators and drive innovation

Unox UK has appointed pastry chef Giacomo Pischiutti as its new UK corporate chef based at the company’s Experience Centre in Surrey.

Starting a career as an accountant, it was Mr Pischiutti’s love and creativity for food that saw him transition to become a fully qualified and trained pastry chef, working alongside renowned patisserie, Paco Torreblanca, at the International School of Pastry Arts in Spain.

Following a stint in esteemed kitchens across Europe, he worked as a private chef in London, where he had the opportunity to develop his experience of cooking and work with some of the finest ingredients from across the globe.

Understanding the need for precision temperature, humidity and airflow, the experienced chef will use his pastry training to support Unox when developing new features and equipment, while also helping operators to get the most from their appliances.

He will create new recipe ideas and ways to effectively utilise the functions offered by ovens such as those in the BAKERTOP and SPEED-X range.

Mr Pischiutti said: “I’m proud to have joined a business like Unox at such an interesting time in the company’s history. With my background in pastry and patisserie, I understand the need for quality, consistency and precision in the kitchen – all elements that Unox equipment is known to deliver.

“Following my time as a private chef in London, I’m excited to be able to put my previous experience into practice, supporting customers and our product development team to get the very best from the Unox range. It was a chance meeting with Unox at HRC 2022 that sparked the opportunity, which given the company’s continued growth and future plans, couldn’t have come at a better time.”
