Victor Manufacturing Lhas launched a new table top heated drawer unit to help operators make the most of the thriving food-to-go market.
The table top HD40TT2 is the latest addition to Victor’s range of catering equipment that keeps hot food hot and cold food cold.
Aimed at cafés and food-to-go operators, the new model enables caterers to prepare and store hot food such as paninis, hot sandwiches and pastry items in advance of the desired serving time. This can help maintain speedy service at peak times.
Features include a blown air heating system, which keeps food in the best condition without drying out or becoming soggy, and a thermostat for accurate temperature control. The all-steel construction is fully insulated with a double skin for optimum energy efficiency, and removable drawers aid easy cleaning.
The freestanding units, which are compact and come with a three metre cable and 13 amp plug, can be easily added to an existing servery or preparation unit to hold hot food at safe temperatures, according to Victor.
Peter Brewin, marketing and communications manager at Victor Manufacturing Ltd, said: “Offering hot food is key to capitalising on the grab ‘n’ go trend and our new table top heated drawer enables operators to keep a variety of hot food items in the best condition and ready to serve to consumers in a hurry, while reaping the energy saving benefits too.”
