Vivreau becomes wholly owned subsidiary of BRITA

Stephen Charles, managing director

Vivreau, the manufacturer of purified drinking water systems, confirmed today that it has completed its full integration with filtration experts BRITA following a partnership set up in 2012.

Stephen Charles will remain managing director of Vivreau UK, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of BRITA.

He explained: “We would like to reassure our loyal customers that their service from Vivreau will remain unchanged. Our excellent levels of customer service, the unmatched quality of our award winning products and the overall reliability of Vivreau UK will continue ‘business as usual’.”

Markus Hankammer, CEO of BRITA Group, said the deal reflects its investment in expanding its product line of mains-fed drinking water dispensers.

“We want to shape the future of the water dispenser market in Europe and our acquisition of Vivreau UK will help to do this. We are extremely grateful for the help and support from managing director Stephen Charles to enable us to continue to work closely together and ensure crucial continuity.”

Founded in 1989 by Stephen and his late father Howard, Vivreau claims to be the pioneer of the table water bottling system used in many leading global companies, as well as five star hotels and restaurants across the world.

Since its formation, Vivreau’s product range has expanded to include the Vi tap, which dispenses mains-fed purified chilled still, sparkling and instant boiling hot water from one single tap with a touch sensor control and zero splash.
