Welbilt applauds creative efforts of supply chain during changing climate

Welbilt has signed up as the fourth sponsor of Foodservice Equipment Journal and Catering Insight’s joint digital event, the Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week.

The major manufacturer will back the Distributor of the Year – Marketing & Strategy category at the ceremony, which will be screened across the week beginning 30 November on both publications’ YouTube channels.

Steve Hemsil, sales director – UK and Ireland, Welbilt, commented: “This year, we decided to sponsor the ‘Distributor of the Year – Marketing and Strategy’ award as we have genuinely been impressed by the creative-level of reactive marketing campaigns and strategies implemented by a number of UK dealers over the past few months.

“By responding to fast-changing government guidelines and changes in customer needs via marketing methods, catering equipment dealers have been able to appeal to new customer demands and secure sales.”

Mr Hemsil further praised the awards initiative itself: “The new digital format of the Kitchen & Equipment Awards is one that I think will go down tremendously well with both shortlisted award finalists and readers. We are particularly looking forward to receiving daily announcements about category winners and their supporting sponsors throughout the course of the week.”

He added: “There’s never been a better time to spread some positivity and celebrate the achievements of our industry than now. As a category sponsor of the Kitchen & Equipment Awards, Welbilt is tremendously proud to be supporting this celebration and truly admire all suppliers, dealers and operators that have come out the other side of this pandemic better and stronger than ever.”
