Welbilt is offering an additional one-year parts warranty extension on its Convotherm, Merrychef and Crem models from today.

The move is part of the company’s recently announced added value initiative – a three-tiered platform for virtual support – and will give UK operators added peace of mind as they navigate the current climate.

Steve Hemsil, sales director – UK & Ireland at Welbilt, said: “With many businesses starting to plan for reopening in early July, operators will now be taking time out to decide if, and what, new equipment they need to invest in, in-order to meet new demands and new ways of service.

“However, it’s not just the culinary features and benefits that operators will be looking out for, but added value packages, particularly when it comes to customer support and quality assurance too – two key attributes that our new one-year parts warranty extension has been designed to satisfy, along with the many other aspects of our added value initiatives.”

By introducing the complimentary one-year extension, Welbilt confirmed that warranties on orders delivered and invoiced between the 1 June 2020 and 31 December 2020 will now be as follows:

– Merrychef: two-year parts and one-year labour

– Convotherm: three-year parts and two-year labour

– Crem – two-year parts only (only applicable to coffee dispensing equipment)

Warranty work will be conducted by Welbilt UK’s team of 30 factory-trained engineers.

The new offer does not replace existing warranty packages and is not valid in Ireland.
