Welbilt expects operators to directly benefit from remodelled UK sales team

Welbilt UK insists end-user customers and key accounts will benefit from a restructuring of its sales organisation, announced by the company today.

The company has rejigged its team, with Alistair Farquhar becoming channel manager UK for distribution and specifications and Paul Patel named as Convotherm business development manager.

Mr Farquhar will be supporting and managing the UK regional sales managers in aiding partners to win new business, while Mr Patel, who has been with the business for over 10 years, will be devising strategies focusing specifically on the Convotherm combi oven brand to grow sales in a very competitive market.

Meanwhile, sales director Steve Hemsil has taken on responsibility for overseeing the main customer touch points, including the customer service and marketing teams, in addition to his existing role of managing the sales and culinary teams.

The company claims the revised structure will leave it better prepared for managing new equipment launches in coming years.

“By having a single point of responsibility to oversee the key elements of our interaction with the customer within our business, we will very quickly be able to identify the areas for optimisation by further strengthening our approach and relationships in already strong sectors,” explained Mr Hemsil.

“We want to work with all our customers to have a more focused strategy to gain specifications for Welbilt products with more of an emphasis on our Convotherm brand. We will also continue to provide customers with the best-in-class level of service.”
