Welbilt readies for first UK show since name change

Merrychef factory, Sheffield 1

Welbilt is preparing to exhibit at its first UK trade show since it changed its name from Manitowoc.

The company has confirmed that it will be appearing at Commercial Kitchen on June 6-7 in Birmingham, where its new branding will be on display to equipment buyers for the first time.

The company, which separated from its crane division last year, rebranded globally earlier this month.

Its focus at Commercial Kitchen will be on promoting its Convotherm, and Merrychef brands, with live demonstrations set to be carried out at the stand.

It will highlight the Eikon e2s, which is the smallest, high-speed oven it has ever produced and claims to provide cooking times up to 20 times faster than a conventional oven.

It will also market its Convotherm 4 range of combi steamers, its most advanced line to date, at the event.

Welbilt will be on stand G12 at the show.
