Bakery chain Wenzel’s has equipped more than 60 of its North London stores with new heated and refrigerated display cabinets.
The company expects the move to improve its ability to hold and display hot items, especially those from its breakfast menu.
Wenzel’s set out to install new display cabinets for both hot and cold food, along with high-capacity multi-tier units, as part of a refreshed in-store redesign.
It specified a selection of products from Victor Manufacturing’s Evolution range, including refrigerated units that can cope with the high ambient temperatures found in bakeries and heated units that can display baked goods, paninis, pizzas and breakfast sandwiches.
Sarah Wenzel, general manager of Wenzel’s, explained: “We offer hot breakfast sandwiches and required a unit to hold the bacon and sausages whilst being displayed. We’ve had problems holding slices of bacon in this environment in the past, but the Evolution units from Victor Manufacturing have solved this problem and look really good, too.”
Victor Manufacturing collaborated with Nisbets on this project, which distributed the items from the Evolution range to the Wenzel’s stores.
