Accelerated cooking equipment brand XpressChef, which is supplied into the UK market through Jestic Foodservice Solutions, is championing the Operator of the Year – Best New Concept category for Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week.
Brian Lavelle, who represents ACP, XpressChef’s manufacturer, commented: “With so many trade events and awards understandably postponed due to coronavirus this year, the introduction of the digital Kitchen and Equipment Awards will give the whole industry a welcome boost.
“It’s been the most challenging year any of us can remember, but so many businesses and individuals in our amazing industry have risen to the challenge innovating and adapting to the new normal and it’s fantastic that we can celebrate these achievements.”
On choosing to back this particular category, he added: “We are delighted to be supporting the Best New Concept category as it celebrates the operators who have shown amazing innovation, entrepreneurial spirt, resilience and no small amount of effort to introduce new concepts, despite some of the worst possible trading conditions. We think they are all pretty amazing and wish all the nominees the best of luck.”

Shortlists for Kitchen Equipment & Awards Week were announced this week, ahead of online industry voting that will take place over the next fortnight.
The winners will be revealed during the week commencing 30 November, in presentations premiering on FEJ and Catering Insight’s YouTube channels.
