Pizza franchise Papa John’s has opened three new stores for contactless delivery, taking the size of its estate to more than 450 units in the UK.

The sites in Gosport, Maidstone and Wednesbury are being managed by some of its most experienced franchisees and their teams who have all run multi-unit operations for several years.

Phil Gaffer, QFP, franchise sales and business development manager at Papa John’s UK, said: “By being able to support and deliver to our communities safely in line with government advice, we are proud of how our network of franchisees and their staff across the country have been able to continue to deliver hot food to those needing to stay at home in recent months.

“While many of our existing franchisees are focused on expansion, we also continue to welcome applications from potential new franchisees who are keen to run a multi-unit franchise by joining our Papa John’s family.

“Until we can resume in-person visits, our recruitment process has become ‘virtual’ for some elements including a meet and greet online plus a virtual guest visit to our Quality Control Center where prospective franchisees can see how we work and meet key staff online.”

Papa John’s was founded in the US in 1984 and now operates more than 5,000 stores in 40 international markets.

In the UK, it is particularly looking for franchisees to develop businesses in the North West, North East, Nottinghamshire and the South West.
