Mick Shaddock honoured by catering equipment peers

Mick Shaddock, former CESA chair and recently retired managing director of Victor Manufacturing, was named the winner of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Catering Equipment Industry Award’ for 2016 on Friday night.

The announcement was made during the gala dinner at this year’s CESA Conference, with Mr Shaddock receiving his award from new CESA chair Glenn Roberts.

“It’s a great honour and privilege to present this year’s award to such a worthy and distinguished person,” said Roberts. “He is known to every one of us and is absolutely one of those who we are all proud to work with. Over the years his calm, thoughtful but decisive approach has been key to many of the important development decisions that we have taken within CESA.”

Mr Shaddock spent his career working with many of the leading British catering equipment manufacturers, including Jackson Catering, Moorwood Vulcan, Viscount Catering Ltd and Enodis Food Equipment. He was appointed managing director of Victor Manufacturing in 2001 and served there for 15 years, growing its turnover to more than £7.5m a year.

Mr Shaddock plans to use his retirement to spend more time with his wife and daughters, as well as on the golf course and watching his beloved Sheffield United FC.

  1. Great to have the opportunity to honour Mick, a true gentleman, and to see both he and Elaine looking so well and clearly enjoying life.
See you both at Goodwood next year.
