Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group’s new CEO has been unveiled as the first big-name keynote speaker for Casual Dining next February.
Mr Knight’s speech is likely to present a fascinating insight to life at the Jamie Oliver Group following a hectic 12 months for the company. At the start of this year it closed six restaurants in response to Brexit pressures, while more recently it rolled out a new point-of-sale solution across the portfolio as it uses technology to stay at the forefront of the casual dining market.
Knight, who presides over around 50 sites, is the latest speaker signing for the show, which launched in 2014 and has become known for attracting some of the biggest names in the business.
The show, which is set to showcase 18 keynote speakers, will host a mix of exclusive seminars, interviews, research updates, and panel discussions.
The central exhibition covers three floors, boasting more than 200 companies, and is open to leading pub, bar and restaurant operators across the UK.
Previous speakers include Pizza Hut’s UK CEO Jens Hofma, GBK’s COO Keith Bird, Geronimo Inns and Hippo Inns’ co-founder Rupert Clevely, Hard Rock International’s area VP of operations David Pellow, Wagamama’s (then CEO) David Campbell, and TGI Friday’s CEO Karen Forrester.
